No more..please!

Are we going to accept once more that few ‘world’ leaders meet in Washington to decide the rules of the game for the rest of the world? Fifty years ago they did so in Breton Woods and since we have been suffering the consequences of a hungry system that has eaten the resources from all corners of the planet to benefit few ones.

The logic could not be more transparent. There were no resources to relief poverty in the world but instead in few days it was possible to find them to rescue the bankers and their businesses. What can we expect now from a new ‘economic order’? Probably some strict controls to the financial system and maybe some additional measures to try to rescue the whole global economy… but, whatever they decide it would just be a new pillar to sustain the statu quo. Even if they adopt some of those dramatic measures that some internet sites denounce, even in such case it would be again more of the same.

We should take action; it is not time to stand and watch. Each one can contribute according to his, her skills and capacity. I write, I teach and I support people walking in the same path. Alternatives…I think there are plenty. The key rule: avoid as much as possible the use of the financial system and develop new imaginative collaborative options.
