
Camilo Villa is a Colombian anthropologist with a master degree on Development Studies form the Institute of Social Studies -ISS- (The Netherlands). He has a large experience in both academic and public agencies de working on local and regional development matters. In his works and publications special attention is given to the relations between culture and (economic) development. During the past four years has been involved in a research on learning practices among firms and development organisations in Manizales, a Colombian city. This would be his PhD thesis in ISS. Recently he joined the knowledge sharing team at Hivos.
