Everybody is invited to the party, it’s just that few woked-up at midnight, others did it at 3, some at 4. The first ones spoke quietly to respect the dreams of sleepers, but as more and more are awake, the noise increases in such a way that at the end we will all be dancing in the same party.

Few minutes before dawn, the night darkest moment takes place. Just keep shining and the light in our hearts will help others to awake.

Proctocols associated with different traditions have been the language that each culture developed to achieve the same contact with the inner essence, with Pacha Mama and God.

From natives we most learn and recover those memories (that are also part of our operating system) to be able to re-plug into our true essence.

Healers are just but a support to help those memories to flourish. We are like small fires warming-up our sisters and helping them to light so they can do the same. From candle to candle, from small fire to small fire we will end with the largest fire ever seen, the one from Love.

Which education

Most of our learning comes out of experience. In all daily life events we learn and help other people to learn, however, too often education programmes put their focus in their content as if learning was just a matter of courses and lectures. I have been involved in many programmes in the field of development and in the business one and with few exceptions they do not practice what they preach. Solidarity, democracy, participation, collaboration and other nice concepts are part of the portfolio they offer but at home this is not part of their daily life. Students go there to learn about better future for their home countries and what they experience is often a highly individualistic and market oriented paradigm. So, when they go back to their real life tasks they will apply nice theories in the same way they experienced. What if education programmes put equal or even higher emphasis in designing the practices and experiences that surround learning. For instance promoting more knowledge sharing, collaborative projects to support their daily lives, open source software or a shared use of goods?
This current paradigm has shown that we move more and more to a close-end road. The planet is being destroyed in many ways, poverty keeps growing, wars are on the scene… So we need to move out of the box and develop new ones. I believe that sharing and collaboration would be at the core of the emerging paths

Smells and beauty

The room filled with candles, a gentle rhythm of a saxo dances all over, in the corner some beautiful roses and the air surrounded by a soft and erotic incense. The two lovers look at each other eyes and go into a dance, trapped by the smells and the sounds they fly in the arms of fire. They melt into one light, one sound, one smell, one beauty, ONE.

Paradigms

After many years, too many, I have decided to stop my attempt to have a PhD degree. To take such decision has not been an easy challenge; I can assure you that more difficult than finishing a PhD is to quit it! While I was in the struggle I had good friends who gave me strong arguments in one or the other direction and that made even more difficult to take a decision. But that brought to one clear point: the only valid decision was the one that I would take from my heart.

There is one main issue behind my decision and it refers to he contradictions emerging between the scientific paradigm guiding most academic institutions and the paradigm that has become my core path. It can be easily summarised: I cannot understand science without magic and without God, love. I am not talking about the freedom of speech or faith; no it is not an issue of my freedom to choose my believes as part of my private life. No, it refers to the fact that modern science rejects any form of magic, it denies the existence of other forms of reality and most important (or tragic…) it has decided to keep Love as a separate domain.

In the sake of objectivity the rational mind took over knowledge and expelled other forms of wisdom out of academia. It was not the case in ancient times; before all forms of wisdom were part of the world of education and research. Maybe I am moving backward in time or I am simply tuning with what human kind should have never abandoned. Time will show.

The many challenges that surrounded my PhD quest brought me to a rich and challenging inner search. This one led me to an incredible spiritual journey that has enriched my life in a way difficult to describe and explain. The result is that the current me is very different from the one who one day decided to engage in the quest of a new diploma. Today this degree does not offers what I want for my life.

I am aware of the implications of my choice. Apart from the professional barriers that are obvious I know that some people will judge me, even without inquiring my inner motivations. I have taken this decision in love and in a deep sense of peace and respect, this gives me the strength and the conviction that I have just followed my heart and that it is a decision in harmony with Mother Earth and Great Spirit. This allows me to walk my talk with Alegría (happiness).

From IBM to the shine of your eyes

It took me many years to delete from my system the image of God that religion installed in my heart and my mind since I was a kid. Raised as a Catholic with all the weight that sin imposes I grew with the idea that God was an old man sitting behind a computer. At that time it was a big, big IBM one with many tapes spinning in different directions. Nowadays with a couple of good servers it would be enough. But yes, this old man would have an infinite database where all positive and negative actions from all humans were recorded.

Using his infinite powers he would be able to scan all events around the planet and track even the subtlest thoughts to count the sins and the good actions. Somehow this image of God was a combination of a sophisticated accountant and a super Big Brother. Linked to this image was the idea of God that was ready to reward or to punish; a God that could be tough and really upset or kind and tender.

It took me years to discover that such God does not exist. That image is just but part of a control machine created by humans to control humans. There is not such accounting and there is no universal Big Brother and even less rewards and punishments.

The best way to describe my own experience with God would be the image of a huge star, hundred times larger than our sun; an infinite source of energy, always in movement, always in action. An energy that is pure love, only love. Each of us is just but one spark of that boiling stream of love. This God does not sanction, it simply IS.

We are those sparks of light moving away from the source in a journey that first brings us to the dark. And only from there we are able to see the light, just to fly back to it, to merge in joy and happiness with the love essence we are. We are one single spark since we leave Great Spirit till we melt again in it.

Along the way we cross many others, sisters and brothers, in their own journeys; some times a simple blink in the street, or half-life together. As you reconnect with God you are able to understand, and specially to feel, that we are all one. We are all sparks of God. So the beauty of your eyes or the shine of that butterfly are the best image of God you can have.

Invaded house

Imagine one of these yuppies that on their 30s have already achieved an impressive amount of wealth. Well, one of them decided, out of the blue, to move back to his mother’s house. With no announcement one day he came home, greeted his young brothers and sisters and recovered control of his old room. The mother was a bit surprised but the general mood was a warm and happy welcome.
Gradually he started to impose his way of life. Threw away what he didn’t like, change the decoration in the living room and became highly demanding. Of course he didn’t contribute to the household economy (some business people become rich because they know very well how to squeeze their mates). The rest of the family got more and more disturbed but he was the elder and imposed his law. The refrigerator was now an empty black hole and the social areas became a giant trash basket. The mother was sending and sending messages asking a different behaviour, a more responsible use of the resources, more respect towards sisters and brothers. She left notes in doors, talked to him, she even made a beautiful painting showing the harmony that beauty brings. All efforts were vain. The domestic economy was exhausted, the sisters and brothers became almost his slaves and the dignity and honour of the mother became just a memory and even an excuse to laugh.
One day the mother decided to send a stronger message: she took all his non-sense gadgets and fashion clothes and burned it in the garden. When he came back he was shocked and blamed everyone. Partially because of the lost items but mainly he would have to spend time in buying new ones and therefore diverting his precious time from his main passion: to make money.
And I ask myself: does our planet deserve that same miserable behaviour? It might be time to listen to Mother Earth and stop exhausting her resources and using her as a global bin. The volcano is just but another post-it in the door…which would be the lesson: that airlines lost some money?

I have a question

There are two key driven forces along human history: love and power. Adam and Eve, the Trojan war, Romeo and Julia, Ghandi, Luther King or millions of unknown life stories of migrants who moved to distant lands following their beloved would be just but a modest account of love driven actions. On the power side, wars, massacres, rapes, tortures, male domination would quickly summarise the contribution of power to move human history.

The scientific domain has approached these two forces with a completely different ways. Many professions and disciplines have contributed to enhance, sustain or countervail many forms of power and domination. Other disciplines have devoted their effort to deal with the consequences of power or to understand the logic and the mechanism that sustain and enhance power.

Instead, love has received a completely different treatment. Its creation or empowerment has been left out of the scientific domain. It belongs to what has been labelled as the spiritual one, in a short perspective the religious domain, or to the field of arts. Most spiritual approaches have love at the core of their essence. Hundreds of pages, and kilometres of canvas or films have been produced to show or express love in one way or another.

Curiously, science only deals with the consequences of the lack of love and only in rare exceptions love is the core discourse in a scientific document. Most health related sciences and some social sciences devote their efforts to deal with the consequences of unhealthy relationships and suffering.

If love is one of the engines moving the world –and most probably the most important one- then why it has been left out of the scientific domain, why the power of love is not at the core of scientific practices?

My beloved family,

Full of joy I write you these lines to share with you the amazing gifts life has given me in the lasts months. To be, experience, live and learn.

Since I arrived I have been discovering a very beautiful and deep part of this universe; our beloved mother; myself. Sometimes quite painful to see what is happening for anger, hate, selfishness and ignorance are manifesting in many ways, destructing life.

So it is I have come to meet death and destruction of our brothers and sisters from all the realms, animal, mineral, vegetal and human, ancient knowledge and tradition, all elements and life being poisoned and abused for selfish purposes, forests being poisoned bringing death to all of its inhabitants, war and hate, lies, hunger, sickness and life in all of its most pure forms such as children and nature ´s spirits in the middle of it all.

Of course my dear friends it is not my intention to fill you with sadness through my words, but this is ALSO happening, and a part of the REALITY which is being lived here.

There is also an other side…

All these events have encouraged light beings to unite in order to strengthen the light and love which is already present to bring a change, I have met beautiful souls who, even though they are in the middle of such an amazing confusion, harmonize their lives and are starting amazing projects in order to keep and strengthen this balance around them.

Various indigenous groups are organizing with their medicine on a spiritual level through ceremonies and also on a social and political level.

Grateful I am for I could assist to the first meeting of Andean cultures which took place in Pasto, Nariño, Colombia. Here, were present Taitas (shamans), Grandfathers and Grandmothers, healers, dancers and artists from native peoples from Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala, USA (Lakota) and from all over Colombia. These many brothers and sisters gathered with as purpose to share their traditional knowledge on many fields, such as agriculture, sustainable living, social organization, work through the different Sacred Medicines, healing through the elements and their elementals, expression, art, the medicine of our beloved and sacred grandmother Ayahuasca was shared through many native traditions, Inipi ceremonies and different cleansing, healing, harmonizing and offering ceremonies were held ALL aiming at finding once again the BALANCE with our Mother Earth and all the brothers and sisters we share this life with.

This, my dear brothers, sisters, is a great blessing. The knowledge which had been kept for so long is now being shared, given to all of those who have an open heart and want to listen. In the same way the medicines were shared, united, strengthened. Blessings!

I assisted to a Lowampi ceremony, the Dance of the Spirits ceremony from the Lakota tradition and the Governor also assisted with his family! Ayahuasca ceremonies were organized for them! The Governor asked all of the Elders for advice in how to govern! The fact all of this is taking place wakes a great joy and hope for the earth, these are great changes!

This land is the keeper of ancient secrets and its ancestors are very present, keeping the magic, the power, the knowledge. I have visited beautiful places which are still untouched by pollution and ignorance of the humans. Blessed be! From this place to all of you I have sent a string of light, we are all connected! I send you love, for what I live is now also part of you and this land awaits you with love and infinite light.

From all of those meetings there is something which was shared and I find very important to spread around, so here it comes! (it’s about feminine power, but I really want to invite men to read it also and SPREAD IT AROUND!!!!)

It is a message which was given by the Elders of the Kogi tradition, which held a session in order to consult with the different Earth Spirits about these tides we are living in and why so many destructing changes are coming from the Earth:

Us, women, are the carriers of life, we are life givers and this is an amazing gift! It is the creative energy, the capacity of bringing new life to the Earth: we are gates or portals of life into this dimension!!! (of course not without you guys!)

Women flow on a lunar rhythm, and once this period has come to closure; our body cleanses itself through the flow of blood which takes all which was needed for the creation of new life in order to renew this energy.

The dear sisters who read this may well know why this Lunar period is considered to be Sacred: At this moment Women are on their highest moment of power, to the point that in many native (patriarchal) traditions women are put away from the community for the fear to great power they then posses! From one of the Shamans I even heard this sentence: “When a woman is in her Moon period, she might come to have more power than the Shaman!” so it is we are blessed with this task as carriers of life and this power is the one of the things which comes with it… but so does responsibility.

What came out of the divination from the Elders is that our Sacred Mother is sad, for we, givers of life, carriers of the Feminine medicine have forgotten to honor this sacred flow. This flow of life, of Blood, while being sacred is now polluting the earth through all the tampons, hygienic towels, lady paths and so on which are being used nowadays.

This is why I would like to invite you to do the following:

Use an organic alternative such as the Mooncup, Sea sponges, Organic paths, reusable paths, cotton… there are many alternatives!
During this period take time to be with yourself, honor it, and meditate on the fact you are a life giver, become aware of it! Feel the mother you are!
In order to once again honor this gift we carry as women and mothers it is important to offer this blood to the Earth. This was long ago a tradition and was for long lost. According to the Elders these offers will help to bring balance to the Earth once again.

How to do it? Each day of the Moon flow take a drop of the blood on a piece of cotton, then wrap it. Here they use Korn leafs to do it, but hey! Be creative, you can use a piece of cotton, paper, tissue, any other kind of leaf… (As long as it’s organic).

Once you have them, find a spot which seems appropriate to you to make the offer, the best would be to do it somewhere in nature, make a fix spot out of it to make the offers. If you are in the middle of the city you can do it in your garden or even in a plant pot! (And make a transfer from time to time to another place). The important thing is that it’s on the earth.

Then, it would be great if you know more women around who will do the same and go together to the Moon Offering Place and make the offers together, take flowers, gifts, you can make a small ritual if you like singing some nice melodies or sharing any other medicine. (It’s a great opportunity to make a small Moon Circle!!)

Well, in the essence the important of it all is to make a small prayer to the Mother Earth when giving the offer and being aware of the fact YOU ARE A LIFE GIVER, just like she is, we are all Mothers!!

And now, at last I want to share a beautiful prayer which was thought to me in order to honor the feminine we come from (so also for the guys!). You need to find out about your feminine ancestors, so you fill the name of the ancestor, starting with the eldest woman from your Mothers side whose name you know. It’s a bit tricky, so I made an example:

I thank my Great Grandmother Maria for from her blood was born my Grandmother Aurelia

I thank my Grandmother Aurelia for from her blood was born my Mother Luz Maria

(in case you have any children and are a woman)

I thank myself for from my blood was born Luna.

That’s it! So you can find out about your Great Great Great Great Grandmother and start from there! And if you already have grandchildren, please include them in your prayer!

Just remember it’s always the woman on the Mother’s side.

And related to this, another beautiful thing to do is to thank you mother (grandmother, great grandmother) for from her/their (blood) you were born, maybe on your own birthday!?
